Hello beef bourguignon. I bought two of Ina Garten’s cookbooks at a book sale a couple months ago and I FINALLY got a chance to make something using one of her recipes. I decided to attempt the beef bourguignon. Her version is a lot quicker and it came out pretty good. A couple of notes however:
It came out SALTY! Next time I am not adding any additional salt. And I am sticking to low sodium stock and low sodium bacon.
I could not fit all the meat in the pan with the sauce and veggies. I think I’ll halve the meat amount.
What the heck is filet of beef?! I just used sirloin…
Cook the meat more or cut it thinner. It was practically raw when we cut into it the first time.
My boyfriend and mom said it was delicious (even though it was salty). I will definitely make it again :).
P.S. I totally forgot that Once Upon A Time is on tonight and I AM MISSING IT!!!
